1. The creator’s policy comes first
Every creator sets a refund policy for their products, shown on the product page. Creators can’t promise anything that conflicts with this policy.
2. Asking for a refund
Ask from the link in your receipt or your library. The creator answers in their Breadwave account. For purchases Breadwave processed, if the creator doesn’t answer within 3 days, we refund you automatically — and we tell the creator before that happens. For marketplace purchases, Breadwave is the seller and makes the final call. For purchases paid to the creator’s own Stripe or Bachs account, the creator issues the refund.
3. When we may reverse a sale
We may refund a purchase we processed when the request is within the creator’s refund window, when the creator asks us to, when a charge was fraudulent or unauthorised, when a product breaks our rules, or to fix an error.
4. Partial refunds
Many products are digital and stay with you after a refund. Where you have already had real use of a product, a refund may be less than the full price.
5. Subscriptions
You can cancel any time. Cancelling stops future payments; it isn’t a refund. A refund on a subscription covers the most recent payment, or more if the creator’s policy allows, and also ends the subscription.
6. Where the money goes
Refunds go back to the payment method you used. For Bread wallet sales, the refund comes out of that sale’s reserve first, then out of the creator’s available balance. If an affiliate made the sale, their commission is reversed too. Referral earnings from a refunded plan payment are reversed.
7. Misuse
We may block people who ask for refunds again and again, or who break a product’s terms of use.
