The rules for using Breadwave — for creators, affiliates and everyone who visits.

For everyoneLast updated 30 September 2026

1. Who we are

Breadwave is run by Breadwave Limited and, globally, by Chigisoft Limited, an Alberta corporation based in Calgary, Canada. “Breadwave”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean these companies. “You” means anyone who visits Breadwave, opens a store, shares a product or buys.

2. What Breadwave is

Breadwave is a platform where creators sell digital products — courses, e-books, subscriptions, bookings, downloads, tickets and software — from their own store, and where affiliates earn by sharing products from the marketplace. Breadwave is not a payment processor, a bank or a trust company. We don’t accept deposits and we aren’t regulated as a bank.

3. Your account

You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live. Give us true, complete information and keep it up to date. Keep your login safe — you are responsible for everything done with your account. The country you pick at sign-up, confirmed when you verify your identity, decides your market, your currency and how you get paid. It follows where you live, not your nationality.

4. Plans and billing

Starter is free. Growth, Pro and Elite are billed by Breadwave monthly or yearly in the currency of your market, plus VAT in Nigeria and GST in Canada. The 14-day Pro trial can be used once per account. You can change or cancel your plan any time in Settings → Plan; a cancelled plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Prices and fees for your market are on the Pricing page.

5. Getting paid

You can connect your own Stripe or Bachs account and get paid by them directly, or let your Bread wallet collect for you and pay you out every Monday. Marketplace sales always go through the Bread wallet. The full rules are in our Payouts and fees policy.

6. Selling on Breadwave

You are the seller of your products. You own them, you set their prices and you are responsible for them: accurate descriptions, delivering what you promise, answering your buyers, honouring your refund policy and paying any tax you owe on your sales. Your products must follow our Product guidelines.

7. The marketplace and affiliates

Approved products can be listed on the marketplace. On a marketplace sale, Breadwave buys the product from you at the moment of sale, at the listed price less Breadwave’s fee, and resells it to the buyer as the seller of record. If an affiliate made the sale, that amount is split between you and the affiliate at the commission you set. When someone buys from the marketplace without an affiliate link, the sale is made through Breadwave’s own platform link and Breadwave keeps the affiliate share. Which affiliate gets credit for a sale is decided by our tracking system; its decision is final.

8. What you can’t do

Don’t break the law, harm others or misuse Breadwave. Our Prohibited activities, Product guidelines and Advertising guidelines are part of these terms.

9. Suspension and closing your account

You can close your account any time. We may remove products, pause payouts or suspend or close accounts that break these terms, create risk for buyers or are involved in fraud. Money you are owed is paid out under our Payouts and fees policy, less any refunds, disputes or amounts you owe us.

10. Disclaimer

By using Breadwave you agree that all content, services, products and software on it are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. Affiliates promoting a product on Breadwave do not guarantee or endorse it.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability to you will not exceed the fees you paid Breadwave in the 12 months before the claim.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta. Any dispute will be brought in the courts of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Claims must be brought within 12 months and only on an individual basis, not as part of a class action.

13. Changes and notices

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we’ll email you before it applies. We send notices to the email on your account, so keep it current.
